Our mission is to work together
to end pet overpopulation. We have many clinics that we refer to all over the nation.
Our goal is to make spay/neuter services affordable to
those who might not otherwise spay/neuter their pet. By
working together we hope to popularize and facilitate
spay/neuter services through the country. |
Spay or neuter your pet. Pets that are neutered (males)
or spayed (females) are healthier. These animals usually have
less infection from pet fighting and are more sociable to humans
and other cats. If you spay a female before it's a year old,
it will reduce the animal's chances of breast cancer.
The advantage of spaying or neutering is that it makes
better pets, reducing spraying by males and eliminating the
estrous cycle in females.
Spayed/neutered pets are prone to laziness and weight gain.
Pets that are spayed or neutered don't require as much food--therefore,
pet owners should reduce their pet's food intake according to
their veterinarian's recommendations.
Neutering reduces male behaviors. but its not eliminated.
Because the brain behavior waves are formed before the animal
is even born. The presence of testosterone prompts sexual behavior
in males. But because of this, the elimination of the hormone--after
neutering, for instance--does not guarantee that these behaviors
will be eliminated.
The most important thing to remember is that our pets are animals
whose actions are things that they do to survive. They perform
behaviors that keep them safe from danger, reduce stress or
anxiety, or satisfy some other need or desire. Sometimes they
simply do what feels good.
This web site I dedicated to helping anyone
that needs to locate a spay and neuter assistance program
in their area. Please check our resources link and locate
your state and there should be a spay and neuter clinic close
to your city.
